Why people forget what they do?

Human beings usually tend to forget the bad things they did. And after sometime they even hate anything or anyone that reminds them of these bad things, but God is there, watching and managing. People say what goes round comes round, and God says in the holly Kor2an "Whoever has done an atom weight of good shall see it and whoever has done an atom weight of evil shall see it"

Well, I think it is a kind of self-defence mechanism. People wouldn't like to think of themselves or people to think of them as bad people. So, they just play the role of good people and believe they actually are.

Why can't we just admit we are humans? We sin and ask for firgiveness ... we do good and bad things. Forgetting that we do bad things would make us bad all the time... it leaves no space for improvement.

Thanks, Meto, for bringing up such a thorny subject!

I think they just do this for the bad things because they always looking for being better ones,so they start by forgetting wht they did ,but the bad thing is that they don't go further they just forget and then they come back to wht they did be4 again and so on
